Introducing “Legend Roller” by Arthur DM

📜

Greetings, noble adventurers, rogues, and people who press the refresh button too often!

I wanted to step out from behind the curtain (and the code) to say this: the dice roller you’ve all been using—rolling crits, fumbles, and the occasional emotional breakdown—has grown into one of the most popular dice rollers on the internet.

I began this website as a fun hobby that I thought might be helpful for the D&D community. This simple website has swelled out into a large ungainly beast and now demands further attention to get it updated.

I’m an adult with responsibilities, a full-time job and family commitments. So, I ask myself, “how can I create the time in my life to give this community the attention it needs and deserves?”

The solution, create something that can raise money, buying me time and freedom to reinvest myself into turning this website into a premier D&D support tool.

So, with that goal in mind, I’m introducing my first attempt at app development, which I have dubbed “Legend Roller”.

I’ve spent many, many hours over the last several months crafting not one but two of these magical artifacts: an Android app and an iOS app, each designed to bring the same dice-rolling joy straight to your pocket.

Now, these are what we call first-off-the-presses versions—fresh from the forge, a little rough around the edges, but full of potential. Updates are coming. More polish. More features. More fun.

Here’s the deal: the apps cost 99 cents (USD). That tiny coin of appreciation does a few things:

  1. It helps me reduce the ads on the website (a public service, really).
  2. It buys me time to keep building useful and delightful D&D tools.
  3. It keeps this little corner of the internet alive for all of us who still believe in imagination, spreadsheets, and the occasional natural 20.

So, if you’ve enjoyed this online dice roller, or if you simply like the idea of supporting a human being who’s typing feverishly somewhere, I’d be deeply grateful if you picked up the app.

Try it, test its limits, make note of any suggestions for improvement and provide feedback through the contact form or follow me on X to communicate directly.

This project began as a hobby, became a passion, and—thanks to your support—might just become a proper quest. So if you can, help me break the shackles of my day-job and I will pledge myself full-time to this community.

Now go forth. Roll often. Roll true.
And remember: behind every critical failure lies a story worth telling.
